Warranty Terms and Conditions for the Crivit Urban E-Bike X.3 and Y.3

1. Warranty Provider

This warranty (“commercial warranty”) is provided by the manufacturer of the products in question, Delta-Sport Handelskontor GmbH, Wragekamp 6, 22397 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter “Manufacturer”).

2. Covered Products

These warranty terms apply to the CRIVIT Urban EBike X.3 and CRIVIT Urban EBike Y.3 models. The warranty also applies retroactively to CRIVIT Urban EBike X.3 and CRIVIT Urban EBike Y.3 models already purchased. The relevant date is the date of purchase.

3. Components covered by the warranty

This warranty applies exclusively to specific parts of the models named in section 2 above. The warranty does not cover the entire bicycle. The warranty covers only material and manufacturing defects in the following rigid components: frame, rigid fork, handlebars, stem and crankset.

4. Warranty period

The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty on the components listed in section 3 above, starting from the date of the initial purchase.

5. Geographical scope

The warranty applies to all CRIVIT Urban EBike X.3 and CRIVIT Urban EBike Y.3 models purchased within the European Union that the customer has purchased directly and immediately from a company within the Lidl Group (Lidl store or Lidl online shop).

6. Warranty service

If a warranty claim arises, the manufacturer will repair or replace the affected component at its own expense. Should a component of the same design, size or colour no longer be available, the manufacturer may provide an equivalent replacement component. There is no entitlement to original spare parts. If a repair would involve disproportionate effort for the manufacturer or has become impossible because spare parts are no longer in stock (for example, due to the product range having been discontinued in the meantime), the manufacturer will exchange the bicycle for an equivalent new model or refund the customer the purchase price in accordance with the bicycle’s residual value at that time. The warranty is limited to the repair, replacement or refund described above. No further claims arising from this warranty exist. Statutory claims, in particular those arising from product liability, remain unaffected.

7. Conditions for the warranty claim

The warranty claim is valid only under the following conditions:

a) The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser. The warranty claim expires if the bicycle is resold.

b) The buyer must provide proof of purchase in the form of a suitable receipt. [Note: The buyer may be able to prove the purchase using an order confirmation in combination with a bank statement; therefore, the strict exclusion could be considered an unreasonable disadvantage.]

c) The bicycle must have undergone a service inspection at a qualified specialist workshop at least every 24 months from the date of purchase. Proof must be provided in the form of relevant service records.

8. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

a) Normal signs of wear and tear

b) Wear parts, in particular chains, tyres, rims, brake pads, brake cables, grips, hubs, headset, bottom bracket, LEDs, dynamos, battery, headlight, LED rear light, pedals

c) Damage resulting from falls or accidents

e) Damage resulting from a lack of care or inadequate maintenance

f) Damage caused by repairs carried out incorrectly

g) Modifications to the original design and the fitting of parts not intended for the respective model

h) Bicycles where the frame number has been altered, removed or rendered illegible

9. Making a warranty claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team using the contact details provided above. Please have the following documents to hand: the original proof of purchase, service records detailing any maintenance carried out, and photos or videos clearly showing the damage.

10. No extension of the warranty period

Making a claim under this warranty does not result in an extension of the warranty period or a restart of the warranty period.

11. Statutory warranty rights

This warranty is a voluntary service provided by the manufacturer. Your statutory warranty rights against the respective seller are neither restricted nor affected by this warranty. These rights exist independently of the warranty and can be exercised free of charge.
